Opal Wave signals plan to continue rapid growth in Middle-East and Africa by making a crucial appointment.
Leading multinational software consultants Opal Wave have signalled their intention to continue growing rapidly in the Middle-East and Africa by making a crucial appointment.
Experienced expert George Khalil has joined the company in the newly-created role of managing director for its SAP Business One practice in the region, after a spell as an independent consultant.
SAP Business One is management software aiding enterprise resource planning (ERP), designed for small and medium sized organisations, manufactured by German company SAP SE. The application enhances effectiveness and efficiency by automating key business functions in areas such as financial, operational and human resource management.
Mr Khalil has completed over 60 successful ERP software installations during his more than 20-year career, many of them featuring SAP Business One. He has worked for major brands, including grocery manufacturing and processing conglomerate Kraft Foods and multinational food and beverage company Mondelez International. He has also headed the SAP Business One practice at SAP-certified consultancy Tyconz and been chief information officer with ProCons, another major SAP Business One partner in the Middle-East and Africa.
In his new role, Mr Khalil will be based at Opal Wave’s offices in Beirut, Lebanon.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Khalil said: “I’m delighted to be joining Opal Wave at such an exciting time. The company’s unbeatable combination of technical expertise and service quality means it’s growing rapidly and its untapped potential is enormous.
“I fully intend to play my part in furthering Opal Wave’s expansion, by bringing the benefits of SAP Business One, an already unsurpassed platform that continues to be developed and enhanced regularly, to many more clients in the region.”
Welcoming Mr Khalil to the business, Fouad El Hage, managing director, Opal Wave Lebanon, said:
“I’m delighted George is joining our growing SAP Business One team here. The wealth of experience and depth of knowledge he brings to our organisation is fantastic news for all our customers.
“George’s appointment to head our SAP Business One practice in the Middle-East and Africa is a real indication of our desire to realise our growth plans and continue as one of the fastest-growing SAP partners in the region.”
