UK-based software consultancy Opal Wave has launched a unique version cloud based accounting system of a market-leading accounting system, bringing it within the reach of even the smallest businesses.

The company now offers a pure managed cloud version of the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) solution, widely seen as the world’s leading application of its type. Containing a suite of essential accounting templates, the system aims to deliver benefits including enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.

SAP BPC was only previously feasible as an on-premise solution for larger businesses.

Opal Wave, which has offices in London and Bradford, has been able to launch its innovative product after concluding a ground-breaking agreement with the manufacturer and investing £500,000 in purposes such as constructing infrastructure.

Simon Bell, Opal Wave sales and marketing director, said:

“We’re very excited to be the only provider bringing the enterprise-class SAP BPC technology within the reach of all businesses. The new cloud based accounting system generates all essential reports, covering areas including legal and regulatory compliance, budgeting and forecasting.

The cloud based accounting system incorporates functionality such as secure headcount and salary planning, plus sales analysis, ‘out of the box’. It’s been built to support the latest International Financial Reporting Standards requirements and can significantly accelerate the processes in financial consolidation and reporting for organisations.”

Opal Wave says businesses buying SAP BPC pure Managed Cloud can literally have it up-and-running within a day and thereafter can tailor it with no constraints, in respects such as adding functionality and formats, to suit their own organisations, without difficulty.

Mr Bell said:

“The pure Managed Cloud solution comes configured in a way that makes it very easily accessible. In addition to offering a hugely competitive price, fast implementation and a comprehensive array of accounting tools, the application operates quickly, demands no maintenance from the customer, as we support it 24:7, and comes with a guarantee of high up time.

Businesses also don’t need to worry about software upgrades, as they’re provided automatically. In addition, they get all the power of Microsoft Excel and Office without the challenges of importing, exporting and storing data, or having to buy expensive, dedicated hardware, as the solution is cloud-based and fully architected for the web.”

Mr Bell added SAP BPC pure Managed Cloud came with built-in security, as all its data was fully encrypted.
He said the software-as-a-service application ran on SAP HANA, generally regarded as today’s most advanced in-memory database management platform and as delivering market-leading performance.

Mr Bell said:

“We’re shortly to run a series of drop-in workshops on the pure Managed Cloud system, in various UK locations, which interested businesses can attend, without having to book appointments. They can come along, bring their data, and our experts will demonstrate the solution’s capabilities and help them set up a trial system, on which they can go live.

We’ll give everybody attending free 30-day licenses to use the application after they leave and details of the workshops will shortly appear on our website.”
