Disclosure Management

Your company has streamlined the process of closing the books at a legal and corporate level with enterprise software solutions – but what happens when the last entry has been made in your consolidation system?

Do manual processes take over again, with a proliferation of spreadsheets and documents, conflicting edits made in different document versions, and approvals made on email not saved in your audit trail?

SAP’s Disclosure Management solution manages the production, publication and filing of financial regulatory reports, saving you the time, risk and cost of disclosures.

This solution offers:

Speed and flexibility

Speed-up the generation of your financial and non-financial statements and reduce compliance costs
  • Automate your disclosure processes - accelerate that “last mile”
  • Get a comprehensive and trusted view of your business by integrating your data from multiple sources
  • End-to-end optimisation of your financial close process - from source to digital disclosure

Collaboration

An easy-to-use interface allows you to streamline collection, validation and approvals
  • Improve collaboration by assigning disclosure processes to teams across your organisation
  • Reduce your manual processes and errors by automating integration and data flow
  • Created for ownership by finance professionals in your company, to allow ease of use and sharing of information

Control and compliance

Generate trusted financial statements through in-house management, reducing disclosure risk
  • Create reliable, auditable financial and regulatory statements
  • Supports financial and regulatory reports in a wide range of publication formats
  • Allows your finance professionals to create XBRL-based statements without technical training

Speed and flexibility

Your data is brought together from various systems to create one source of the truth for your business. This data can come from consolidations, business intelligence and core financials, as well as spreadsheets and manual entry – and you can refresh the disclosure data at any time. Your information from these source systems is then combined with narrative to generate financial and regulatory statements.

Collaboration

Editing and approvals between your teams is managed with a built-in workflow. Your financial statement is broken down into chapters and sub-chapters, and the workflow notifies your team members when a chapter or a statement is complete. Only one editor can work on a chapter at a time and a comparison of any two versions – highlighting the changes made – can be made at any time.

Control and compliance

Maintain a compliant audit trail for your business with approvals of individual chapters, and the overall financial and regulatory statements. Your approved financial statements can be published in a variety of publication-ready formats including Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and HTML. The financial statement data can also be tagged and electronically filed in XBRL format.
